What is the Black Grotesk font?

Designed at ParaType in 1997 by Tagir Safayev. Based on Gasetny Chorny (“Newspaper Black”), of Ossip Lehmann foundry, St.-Petersburg, 1874, and Kompakte Grotesk of Haas.
An old-fashioned German sans serif “Grotesque”.
For use in advertising and display typography.
